Downtown restaurant loses alcohol license for 15 days
Bella Italia sold alcohol to an underage ABC decoy.
Martinez bar owners aren’t the only ones who need to carefully check age identification before serving alcohol – local restaurants are also the targets of California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) sting operations.
In November, an ABC decoy ordered a meal and drink at Bella Italia Café on Las Juntas Street. The Italian restaurant holds an ABC license to sell beer and wine, and the owner was found guilty of “Sale to Minor” and his licensed was suspended for 15 days.more...
