Tough season for AHS basketball program
Girls and boys varsity have combined for just one win in DFAL.
Good times have not been aplenty for the Alhambra varsity basketball programs in 2008-09. After an optimistic start, both teams have suffered and cannot seem to find their games in DFAL play.
The boys program started well during the pre-season portion of the schedule. The 8-5 mark was respectable and included a tournament championship in Anderson, the first fort eh program in four seasons. Since, they have averaged just 42.0 points in their four losses, all since opening league play with a win in their first-ever game against new member Dougherty Valley.more...

College Park defense make statement as well in 35-0 rout
On paper, it didn’t look good. Although Alhambra’s opponent, College Park had a record of just 2-2, the Falcons were flying-high when it came to scoring points and accumulating yardage. In 2008, CP was averaging 42-points per game, including 52 in the last three. Their potent and patented rushing offense accounted for most of the 453 yards-per-game they averaged.more...
