Marriage originated in the Church which believes one man one woman. Later the government adopted the term marriage since marriage is so tightly linked to the church then create another term which defines gay togetherness and commitment to each and commitment to health care and taxes. What is any other point? Let gays create their own term to define a couple.

Please dont let politicians redefine Church beliefs like they redefine our constitution even though they are sworn to uphold it.

Marriage predates all major religions. It means to join, a union, and the definition is clear. And many words have differing definitions, this is no exception. You use the first definition as the traditional man and woman marriage, and let gay people use the term marriage, in the second definition as a union, it’s just a word, but neither one should be superior to the other, just different.
My so called traditional marriage to a woman would or could in no way be negatively effected by allowing Gay marriage. Legal Gay Marriage. If anything, denying a whole group that right we have, I have, cheapens the institution of marriage in my opinion.
If your marriage is so fragile, or you are that insecure in your own sexuality, then question your marriage, your sexuality, and wonder why this would matter to you personally?
