On Tuesday night the Alhambra junior varsity Lady Dogs basketball team played the Las Lomas Knights. One thing was evident before the game even started, that the Knights were under staffed. With a team of only seven players, while the Lady Dogs had a traditional double-digit roster.

The game started out incredibly well for the Lady Dogs as they jumped on the Knights from the opening tip, in which Mariah Strykers won the initial possession for the Lady Dogs.

On Tuesday night the Alhambra varsity Bulldogs matched up against the Las Lomas Knights, at the Knights’ home in Walnut Creek.
The game started off very poorly for the Bulldogs as the Knights started the game on a 10-0 run. But there were also some unfair calls as after a foul near midcourt one of Knights’ players ran the floor and slammed the ball through the net, which according to the rules of high school basketball, and other levels should be a technical foul on the player, and team who did the dunk. No foul was called and the momentum that was already in favor of Las Lomas, continued to mount.

On Friday night the Alhambra Bulldogs varsity soccer team took on the Miramonte Matadors in what would prove to be a great DFAL battle.

The game started out fairly slow as the Bulldogs and Matadors attempted to control the ball and connect many passes. The Bulldogs had a few chances early in the game for chances on goal, but were held to just shot attempts and no goals.
