Robbers wielding heavy tools as weapons targeted a business and a bank customer early Tuesday near the border of Pacheco and Pleasant Hill in two separate incidents.

 

At 6:20 a.m., a Wells Fargo Bank customer was using the ATM at 699 Contra Costa Blvd. when a white male estimated to be 35 to 45 years old approached with a hammer raised in his hand. He demanded the customer withdraw cash and hand it over, but did not strike the victim.

One Woman Arrested, Two Injured In Bar Fight

A Martinez woman was arrested after she and two other woman got into a knife fight outside of a downtown bar on Thursday night.

 

According to MPD Sgt. Bryan Dodd, police responded to reports of a brawl outside of Whiskey Lane Bar on Ferry Street just before 10 p.m. There they found two stabbing victims with cuts on their arms and legs.

This week marks the two-year anniversary of the murder of Martinez teenager Eric Bean.

 

After a passerby reported seeing a body on the side of McEwen Road three days before Christmas in 2009, a three-month police investigation yielded the arrests of four individuals.
